When SBO Swampy’s friend hit him up to come check out his new music software, neither of them guessed what would happen next. Over the next couple of months, Swampy was finishing songs weekly and developing a passion for recording.

The artist had always been expressive and creative, growing up in a musical family, but it wasn’t until he dedicated himself to music that he realized his potential.

Several years after his own father was a signed musician, SBO Swampy signed his own record deal. The artist represents Morojele Music Group Inc., out of Richmond Hill, Ontario. The label represents several popular Toronto artists including one of the city’s biggest stars, Casper TNG.

Swampy’s newest music video for “Bad Habits” is out now, and shows off the diversity of the record label’s talent.

The single has a refreshing sound for local fans but remains digestible for general listeners. The song combines some of the best elements from the hyper-pop genre, before adding bouncing drums on top of them.

It’s clear how passionate the artist is about the music through his delivery and lyrics. He’s extremely vulnerable in his writing, admitting that he’s struggled with drugs and love. The artist’s honesty is admirable and his ability to transfer those feelings into catchy flows is icing on the cake.

The music video for the single is as exciting and unique as the song is. It features sceneries that we rarely see, as well as editing and effects that match the vibrancy of the song. Smooth and frequent transitions showcase the artist rapping solo along to the song, but at other times surrounded by his friends.
